“… just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Matthew 20:28 NIV

Jesus, when I come to you in prayer, it is so often about my needs, or more truthfully, my wants. I’m reminded of how you gave up power, comfort, and perfection all for the privilege of serving! You didn’t leave heaven to be worshiped and adored; you came to give everything away, including your life. Even in your risen life, you serve us by advocating for us. I pray as I go about my daily routine, you will bring my attention to ways I can serve others. Let me live my life more and more “… just as the Son of Man.” Amen.
