Lord, during this past year the “weak” have been revealed to us in new and unexpected ways. The physically strong have been taken down by illness, financially strong have suffered business and job loss, and spiritually strong have been tested beyond what they thought they could bear. Yet in weakness, amazing stories of rescue and service have shone light in this long darkness. Lord, you are the source of that light. It is your heart for the hurting that sparks healing and kindles a burning compassion and kindness for the weak. I pray for ways to give above and beyond what I can imagine, and as a blessing, receive only opportunities to give more. Amen.
