Crossings LifeCare Ministry is excited to present Parent University, an all-day conference for parents on Saturday, March 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Crossings OKC Venue.
The conference features Dr. Michelle Watson Canfield, known as The Dad Whisperer, who especially helps men feel supported and equipped to step into their role as fathers. This interactive day of connecting and communicating with your spouse while being equipped with more resources in your parenting toolbox includes the following sessions (and each session has Q&A time!):

- Connecting with Your Father First
- Powerful Vision, Positive Action
Throughout the day Dr. Michelle will be joined by her husband, Dr. Ken Canfield (founder of the National Center for Fathering), for practical parenting strategies.
Cost is $25/couple or $15/individual and includes a box lunch. Childcare is available with preregistration only for kids 0-12 years old (includes light breakfast and lunch). Please complete both the childcare registration and the adult registration if you have children requiring childcare.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Michelle Watson Canfield, PhD, LPC, is a national speaker, author, professional counselor of 27 years, and founder of The Abba Project, a nine-month group forum for dads whose daughters are in their teens and 20’s. She writes guest articles regularly for journals and magazines (online and print), as well as her own bi-monthly Dad-Daughter Friday blog, and has been interviewed on numerous radio and television programs. Her best-selling book, Dad, Here’s What I Really Need From You: A Guide for Connecting with Your Daughter’s Heart is followed by her most recent field guide for men, Let’s Talk: Conversation Starters for Dads and Daughters. She has also written contributing chapters in Fathers Say and How to Disciple Men.
Dr. Michelle hosts The Dad Whisperer Podcast, which is available on her website and on Apple+, Google Podcasts, Stitcher and Spotify. She also co-chairs the Father-Daughter Initiative at the National Center for Fathering with her husband, Dr. Ken Canfield.
Ken R. Canfield PhD, is a nationally-known leader and scholar, and has committed his life to strengthening fathers and families. He founded and is president of the National Center for Fathering, as well as the National Association for Grandparenting, and continues to engage in several national and international organizations dedicated to improving family well-being. Dr. Ken’s work has appeared in Psychological Reports, Educational and Psychological Measurements, The World and I, Parents, Today’s Better Life, Living with Children and New Man. He is the author of the award-winning 7 Secrets of Effective Fathers, The Heart of a Father, The Adventures of Fatherhood Series, They Call Me Dad, and The Heart of Grandparenting, as well as several book chapters in edited texts. Besides publishing, Dr. Ken has been heard on a daily weekday radio commentary, Today’s Father (aired on more than 600 stations nationwide), and now Grandkids Matter (aired on 60 stations).
They reside in Fayetteville, Arkansas and love spending time with their tribe of 27, which includes 15 amazing grandchildren!
